Understand what kind of event you are joining
Rollr Events is Rollr’s scheduled live-experience area. A timed event differs from an ongoing room because it has a planned start and an expected format. Read the current listing to understand the host, topic and participation conditions.
Check whether the description suggests watching, conversation or another hosted format. Do not assume every viewer can speak or enable a camera. If the listing does not answer an important question, clarify it with the host through an available channel or choose another experience.
Confirm the time zone without converting twice
Look for the displayed date, time and time-zone information. Some interfaces show a local time, while others describe the host’s time. If the zone is unclear, do not guess from the host’s country or your selected language.
Check the calendar day as well as the clock time. A late event in one region may fall on the following day elsewhere, and daylight-saving changes can alter the difference. Once you know a display is already local, do not apply another conversion.
Test your setup before the event begins
- 1Open the camera preview or a trusted local camera application and check framing and lighting.
- 2Test the microphone locally without sending a recording to strangers.
- 3Close other applications that may be using the camera or creating background audio.
- 4Check browser permissions if camera or microphone access is required.
- 5Use a stable connection and make sure your mobile device has enough battery.
Decide what you will share before joining
Remove identifying documents and reflections from the frame. Let other people in your surroundings know before they might appear or be heard. Keep real names, precise location and personal contact details optional.
A hosted event is still a live interaction. Neither a small audience nor a face effect guarantees privacy from capture. Use Privacy Checklist Before Your First Call for a practical pre-camera check.
Read current admission details, not assumptions
Check the access conditions and any cost shown in the actual listing before committing. Do not assume that an account, a membership or a displayed event gives you a reserved place. Read the confirmation the current flow actually provides.
If an event is not live, has ended or no longer appears, avoid following unrelated payment or contact requests claiming to restore access. Return to the current Rollr listing rather than treating an old link as a guarantee.
Plan a considerate arrival and an easy exit
Arrive ready to listen to the host’s introduction and boundaries. Keep your microphone muted when appropriate, avoid interrupting the format and ask concise questions at a suitable moment.
You may leave if the experience is not comfortable for you. A host’s planned schedule does not oblige you to remain or participate beyond your boundaries. Group conduct advice in Group Video Room Etiquette: Joining, Taking Turns and Leaving can help if an event includes conversation.
