# Online, Busy or Offline: Understanding Performer Availability

Rollr Editorial Team 2 October 2026

A visible profile, an availability label and an accepted interaction are different things. Rollr currently publishes approved performer profiles offline and does not enable going live or paid sessions. Status filters should therefore not be read as evidence that someone is taking paid requests now.

## Visibility answers only one question

A published profile means public content passed the applicable approval flow. It does not establish that the performer is at the camera, accepting requests or scheduled to appear. A pending application is different again: it should not be treated as a public approved performer.

Use How to Choose a Live Performer from Their Profile (https://rollr.club/blog/choose-a-live-performer-profile) to research style and boundaries independently of availability. A good profile can remain interesting while offline, but you should not plan a connection around an assumed schedule or a label that has not become operational.

## Online would not mean every request is welcome

In an enabled service, an online label might describe a presence state rather than a willingness to accept every visitor. That distinction matters. Availability, approval and a connected session need separate information, and none can guarantee a particular activity.

### Busy is not a countdown

A busy state would not tell you when an interaction ends, whether another request will be accepted or how long a queue might take. Do not turn an availability label into a predicted wait. The current Rollr queue is not operational, so no exact waiting calculation is available.

## Offline does not invite a workaround

Respect the absence of an enabled interaction. Do not search for private social profiles, infer a timezone or ask another person to contact the performer for you. Public discovery deliberately excludes structured city, country, distance and timezone information. A language field is about communication.

Protecting Personal Details During Private Video Chat (https://rollr.club/blog/private-chat-personal-details) covers that privacy boundary from the visitor’s side. Knowing more about someone’s personal routine does not give you a better right to their time. An offline profile can simply remain something you have read.

## Filters organise results, not future events

A status filter changes which approved profiles match your query. It does not activate going live or book a session. Empty results may reflect a narrow filter or an early directory with no matching approved profiles. Widening a filter can reveal existing records, but cannot create availability.

If your main goal is immediate spontaneous conversation, random chat is a different experience with its own matching pool and eligibility. Random Video Chat or a Live Performer: Which Experience Suits You? (https://rollr.club/blog/random-chat-or-live-performer) explains that choice without implying a named performer can be booked through random matching.

## Read the release notice before planning

Paid performer requests, higher bids, queues and accounting are disabled. The profile rate is not an active charge, and status information cannot substitute for a working confirmation flow. An eventual live system must distinguish waiting, approval, connection and active billing before a visitor should rely on them.

### Does opening a profile notify a paid request?

No paid request is created by browsing the current directory. A profile view is research, not a queue entry or billable connection. Take the limitations at face value and return later rather than trying to force a disabled feature.

Check How live performer chat works, and what is open now (https://rollr.club/live-performers/how-it-works) for what is enabled now; treat profile visibility as information, not a promise of a performer’s time.
